       MICROSOFTFOUNDATION CLASS LIBRARY: OpenGL

========================================================================

AppWizard hascreated this OpenGL application for you. This application

not onlydemonstrates the basics of using the Microsoft Foundation classes

but is also astarting point for writing your application.

This filecontains a summary of what you will find in each of the files that

make up yourOpenGL application.

OpenGL.dsp

    This file (the project file) containsinformation at the project level and

    is used to build a single project orsubproject. Other users can share the

    project (.dsp) file, but they should exportthe makefiles locally.

OpenGL.h

    This is the main header file for theapplication.  It includes other

    project specific headers (includingResource.h) and declares the

    COpenGLApp application class.

OpenGL.cpp

    This is the main application source file thatcontains the application

    class COpenGLApp.

OpenGL.rc

    This is a listing of all of the MicrosoftWindows resources that the

    program uses.  It includes the icons, bitmaps, and cursorsthat are stored

    in the RES subdirectory.  This file can be directly edited in Microsoft

      Visual C++.

OpenGL.clw

    This file contains information used byClassWizard to edit existing

    classes or add new classes.  ClassWizard also uses this file to store

    information needed to create and editmessage maps and dialog data

    maps and to create prototype memberfunctions.

resOpenGL.ico

    This is an icon file, which is used as theapplication's icon.  This

    icon is included by the main resource fileOpenGL.rc.

resOpenGL.rc2

    Thisfile contains resources that are not edited by Microsoft

      Visual C++.  You should place all resources not editableby

      the resource editor in this file.

OpenGL.reg

    This is an example .REG file that shows youthe kind of registration

    settings the framework will set for you.  You can use this as a .REG

    file to go along with your application orjust delete it and rely

    on the default RegisterShellFileTypesregistration.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

For the mainframe window:

MainFrm.h,MainFrm.cpp

    These files contain the frame classCMainFrame, which is derived from

    CFrameWnd and controls all SDI framefeatures.

resToolbar.bmp

    This bitmap file is used to create tiledimages for the toolbar.

    The initial toolbar and status bar areconstructed in the CMainFrame

    class. Edit this toolbar bitmap using theresource editor, and

    update the IDR_MAINFRAME TOOLBAR array inOpenGL.rc to add

    toolbar buttons.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

AppWizard createsone document type and one view:

OpenGLDoc.h,OpenGLDoc.cpp — the document

    These files contain your COpenGLDocclass.  Edit these files to

    add your special document data and toimplement file saving and loading

    (via COpenGLDoc::Serialize).

OpenGLView.h,OpenGLView.cpp — the view of the document

    These files contain your COpenGLView class.

    COpenGLView objects are used to viewCOpenGLDoc objects.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Other standardfiles:

StdAfx.h,StdAfx.cpp

    These files are used to build a precompiledheader (PCH) file

    named OpenGL.pch and a precompiled typesfile named StdAfx.obj.

Resource.h

    This is the standard header file, whichdefines new resource IDs.

    Microsoft Visual C++ reads and updates thisfile.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Other notes:

AppWizard uses«TODO:» to indicate parts of the source code you

should add to orcustomize.

If yourapplication uses MFC in a shared DLL, and your application is

in a languageother than the operating system's current language, you

will need to copythe corresponding localized resources MFC42XXX.DLL

from theMicrosoft Visual C++ CD-ROM onto the system or system32 directory,

and rename it tobe MFCLOC.DLL.  («XXX» standsfor the language abbreviation.

For example,MFC42DEU.DLL contains resources translated to German.)  If you

don't do this,some of the UI elements of your application will remain in the

language of theoperating system.
